Mahfuz Chowdhury, Pari Saharkhiz inducted into Pilon School of Business Hall of Fame
International speaker, author and business strategist Mahfuz Chowdhury (Business Administration – Marketing ’12) and pharmaceutical entrepreneur Dr. Pari Saharkhiz (International Business Management ’16) are this year’s inductees into the Pilon School of Business Hall of Fame.

This year’s inductees epitomize the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, and resilience that we aim to instill in all our students.”
Mahfuz Chowdhury
Chowdhury is a three-time TEDx speaker who has captivated audiences worldwide with his compelling narratives and innovative strategies.
Throughout his career, Chowdhury has been a driving force in empowering brands, leaders, and changemakers to amplify their voices and inspire action through impactful storytelling and resilient leadership. His expertise is in high demand, with industry giants such as Microsoft, IBM, KPMG, and PwC seeking his insights.
As Director of Strategy at Candybox Marketing, Chowdhury not only contributed to the success of the company but also exemplified visionary leadership that propelled it onto the Globe and Mail’s prestigious list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies for three consecutive years.
Chowdhury has also authored several enlightening books, including The Resilient Brand: Storytelling in a Digital Era, which explores the transformative power of storytelling in shaping authentic brand narratives.
“With my name and story included alongside these outstanding Hall of Fame members, I hope it contributes a few more chapters to the Sheridan legacy and inspires students to shine brighter,” says Chowdhury.
Dr. Pari Saharkhiz
Dr. Saharkhiz is this year’s recipient of the Pilon School of Business Hall of Fame’s Recent Graduate award, given to alumni who have achieved significant success within a decade of graduation. As a medical doctor-turned-pharmaceutical entrepreneur, she embarked on a quest to revolutionize reproductive health solutions, driven by a passion for science-based products and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
“The knowledge and skills I gained at Sheridan have been instrumental in my journey,” says Dr. Saharkhiz. “I gained a strong foundation in global business practices and connected with a network of professionals who have been essential to my career.”
Armed with this knowledge, Dr. Saharkhiz co-founded Elan Healthcare, a pioneering company dedicated to providing low-risk, cost-effective solutions to common sub-fertility issues.
Under her leadership, Elan Healthcare has flourished, earning recognition on prominent online platforms such as Amazon and Well.ca for meticulously-crafted products that address the challenges of sub-fertility caused by toxins and stress. Through strategic export initiatives and a commitment to excellence, Dr. Saharkhiz has helped Elan Healthcare reach a broader global audience.
Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavors, Dr. Saharkhiz volunteers her time and expertise to support organizations such as My Women Support, Rise Asset Development and the Access Employment Centre. Her philanthropic efforts serve as a testament to her commitment to giving back to the community that has embraced her with open arms.
Sheridan’s Pilon School of Business Hall of Fame was established in 2006 to honour the accomplishments of outstanding business alumni who are leaders in industry. Induction to the Hall of Fame acknowledges business prominence and distinguished contributions to industry.
