Netta Romano is a Professor of the Paralegal Program at Sheridan College. Netta earned a BA in History from York University and an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School. After several years working as a civil litigator in private practice in Mississauga and as in-house counsel for a large retailer, Netta began her teaching career at Sheridan in 2002 as a part-time instructor in the Court and Tribunal Program, the predecessor to the Paralegal Program. Having found her true calling, she returned to school to earn a Bachelor of Education from York University in 2008 and taught law (as well as geography and civics/careers) in the secondary school system briefly before happily returning to Sheridan full-time in 2010. A life-long learner, Netta completed her LLM degree in Labour Relations and Employment law at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2014. She is the author of the best-selling Employment Law for Paralegals published by Emond Publishing and is a frequent contributor of instructional materials and supports for other Emond publications.
