A veteran writer/producer/showrunner, David Barlow has written and produced TV series and features for television that have received over 40 nominations and awards from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television and other organizations. These include two awards for Best Comedy Series, four nominations for Best Dramatic Series, and one nomination for Best Sports Program or Series. Additionally, he was a story editor on three Best Drama Series nominees. Barlow is a recipient of the ACCT’s Margaret Collier Award – for his body of work as a screenwriter and his contribution to the Canadian television industry – and the Writer’s Guild of Canada’s Writer’s Block Award – for service on behalf of Canadian screenwriters.
Barlow has also lectured and conducted professional screenwriting workshops across Canada and in Dublin and Singapore.
He is a Professor in the Bachelor of Film & Television program in the Faculty of Animation, Arts & Design
